K. Peterson Quilting

Meet the quilter

I have been a quilter since 1998.  My first quilt was a sampler from a book called "Quilts! Quilts! Quilts!" by Laura Nownes, whose classes I was lucky enough to take.  Since then my portfolio has grown to include various types of quilts: traditional, paper pieced, modern, applique, T-shirt quilts, etc.

I was awarded the 1st place ribbon in the small quilt category at the Northwest Quilter's Guild annual show in 2016.  Previously, I had received 3rd place ribbons in 2014 and 2015.

My latest honor was that my Shadow Medallion quilt was a finalist at the MQX Midwest show in 2016.

I believe in continuing education.  I've not only taken piecing classes but many longarm classes from award winning teachers such as Claudia Pfiel, Jaime Wallen, Dusty Farrell, Angela Walters, and many others.

I hope I will have the privilege of finishing your quilt for you soon.
